Italy from North to South

I worked my way south from Florence to Siena, Naples, Pompeii, and Palermo. I guess I have run out of Italy and will need to get on a plane now.

It has been amazing. I have always wanted to see Pompeii. Siena was incredible...the whole town is so picturesque, about anything there could be a postcard. I got in some hiking in Tuscany and Sicily which are both beautiful in different ways.

But, of course, Florence is always the high point. That city is amazing. It is no wonder it was the heart of the Renaissance since residents of that town included Macchiavelli, DaVinci, Dante, Michelangelo, Galileo, Vasari, Donatello etc. It is hard to believe one city can produce so much genius.
